Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero and his senator Gidion Mbuvi, aka Mike Sonko have been involved in a heated verbal altercation that almost saw Kidero beat Sonko.
This led to a session of the Senate Public Affairs Commitee (PAC) to be prematurely terminated.
Kidero was appearing before the Senate PAC to respond to audit queries over alleged financial misappropiration at City Hall. Mike Sonko, who is not a member of the committee was allowed to attend as a friend and Nairobi Senator.
The two started exchanging words and Sonko alleged that Kidero and some of his allies had killed a property owner on Kilimani estate.
Sonko was asked to withdraw the remarks but he refused adding that he has already reported the matter to the police for inverstigations.
