This Is SAD! MP’s Daughter Perishes In A Road Crush, May Her Soul Rest In Peace

Kisumu West Member of Parliament (MP) Olago Aluoch’s daughter was on the morning of Saturday, October 8, killed in a fatal road accident along Nairobi’s Lang’ata road.

Joy Atieno who is a clerk in the Senate, lost her life while returning home in the wee hours of the morning after the vehicle she was driving lost control and crashed.

According to the MP, her daughter died on the spot after the vehicle rolled severally

A report by news website Kenyans suggests the deceased who served under the Senate’s Energy and Delegation committee was returning home to finalise arrangements of the Committee’s trip to the United States.

“Joy was rushing home to prepare for the Committee’s trip to Washington DC, United States whose departure was slated for tonight,” Aluoch said as quoted by the website.

The lawmaker expressed utter shock on receiving the sad news since he had just spoken to Ms Atieno on Friday, just moments before she met her untimely death.

“She told me she was processing visas for the senators and also busy because she was in charge of the entire trip,” he noted.

It will be remembered that just a week ago, the legislator joined the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) after ditching Ford Kenya, the party he was elected on in 2013.
