Kenyans To Now Send This Amount Of Money Through M-Pesa Free Of Charge


Giant telecommunication network Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore officially took down costs of m-pesa transactions lower than Ksh. 100

The announcement was made by Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore during the release of the Safaricom financial year 2017.

According to Collymore, the will be effective on person to person and Lipa na Mpesa transactions.

The move comes at a time when Safaricom are experiencing a significant rise in their revenues, and the Safaricom CEO attributed the changes to youth empowerment.

Small scale traders are set to benefit from the move most

“We have done this to empower the people who support this company the most – the mama mbogas, the small businessmen and the micro agents who form our network,” He said as reported by Nairobi News.
