Kabogo To Face Waititu On Kiambu Gubernatorial Race Come August

Kiambu Governor has finally opted to vie as an independent candidate nearly a month after losing miserably to his bitter rival ‘baba yao’ in the Jubilee primaries.

Speaking to journalists after the losing, he said that a top Jubilee leader had orchestrated his loss.

So much was the gap between him and the winner Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu that the governor conceded defeat early into the vote count, licking his wounds and wishing the winner the best since he collected only 69,916 votes against those of his arch rival Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu who had more than 300,000 votes.

The governor later said he has taken a short break but will make a major announcement on his political future with a possibility of running as an independent candidate

Kabogo will now face-off with Ferdinand Waititu in the race to be Kiambu governor in the upcoming August General Election.

It comes as a shocker to everyone considering he lost by a huge margin to Waititu and blamed forces within Jubilee Party who were hell bent at ensuring he lost.

Days before the Kiambu Jubilee primaries, a video was circulating claiming that Kabogo had insulted and disrespected women in his county.

‘Nyie mnajua tunajitahidi kufanya kazi. Barabara tutatengeneza(you all know we are determined to work. We will construct roads)…. I was elected on the might of my money. I will not die if you will not elect me. I am not looking for circumcision fee. No one can intimidate me because of an election outcome ‘
