The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Commissioners have formally agreed to a negotiated exit from ofice with a dignified pay deal. The commissioners led by Chairman Issack Hassan say say they will not stand in the way of a political settlement if given a dignified exit. The commissioners however say they want the staff at the commission retained. The commissioners appeared before the joint select parliamentary committee that is co chaired by senator Kiraitu Murungi and Senator James Orengo

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Commissioners have formally agreed to a negotiated exit from office with a dignified pay deal.

The commissioners led by Chairman Issack Hassan say  they will not stand in the way of a political settlement if given a dignified exit.

The commissioners however say they want the staff at the commission retained.

The commissioners appeared before the joint select parliamentary committee that is co chaired by senator Kiraitu Murungi and Senator James Orengo

The Commissioners led by Chairman Issack Hassan said the country “is bigger” than any of them and “they do not want to be a stumbling block to electoral reforms.”

They however said they want staff at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission retained
