IEBC Commissioner Roselyne Akombe has denied ever meeting with National Super Alliance (NASA) leadership over election issues after the Supreme Court ruling.
In an interview with the Sunday Standard, Ms Akombe termed as propaganda screen shots of WhatsApp chats alleged to be between her and Siaya Senator James Orengo.

“I have never met the NASA leadership. I have met Tuju. Why is no one talking about my meeting with him? It’s a meeting I can publicly confirm because as far I am concerned, it was in the interest of the electoral process,” the Commissioner explained
Her revelations come at a time when a deep rift at the electoral body has been exposed.
This followed a leaked memo from IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati to CEO Ezra Chiloba demanding answers to tough questions that suggest the integrity of the August 8th election was compromised.
Ezra Chiloba has written to the Kenya Independent Commissions Workers Union (KICWU) demanding the deletion of his name from a suit filed in the Employment and Labour Relations Court on Thursday.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chief executive in a letter to KICWU through Iseme, Kamau and Maema Advocates on Friday said the suit was filed without consideration of the adverse consequences such an action would have on him.
“Withdraw any references to our client in the suit and forward to us the duly filed amended statement of claim with all references to our client crossed out and/or omitted and notice of withdrawal of the application in which our client was named,” Chiloba’s lawyer ordered.
