Dark Sunday morning to Members of the public viewing the wreck of some of the vehicles which were burnt down after an accident involving a tanker and over ten cars along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
40 people including police officers died in the accident that occurred a few kilometers from Naivasha town
It was also reported that the infrastructure Permanent Secretary said 9 GSU officers were among those who perished in the tragedy that has left Kenya and the world shocked.
Area deputy commissioner Isaac Masinde quoted the Red Cross saying rescuers had taken 30 bodies to Naivasha Sub-County Hospital Mortuary.
The number of those perished is however expected to rise considering the number of vehicles involved in the incident.
