Kenyans and Kenya at large is mourning the death of Five police officers who have been killed and four others injured after suspected Al Shabaab gunmen attacked their vehicle between Kotulo and Elwak towns in Mandera County.
Reports indicate that the militants ambushed the police officers on Monday morning in the village near the Kenya-Somalia border.
Confirming the attack , Mandera Governor Ali Roba has condemn the act saying information about the Al Shabaab presence in the area had been shared but no action was taken.
“We condemn the attack by al Shabaab at Dimu this morning five police officers killed. The info about their presence was long shared by the locals,” Governor Ali Roba said on his Twitter account.
