‘I am almost Fainting’ MP Who was charged of Hate Speech Tells Court


Kimani-NgunjiriA court session was temporarily stopped after one of the members of parliament who was accused of hate speech felt ill.

Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngujiri told the court that he was almost fainting due to the fever and was taken out for first aid.

Ngujiri is among the seven legislators: Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Ferdinand Waititu (Kabete), Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba), Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi Women Rep), Florence Mutua (Busia Women Rep) and Senator Johnstone Muthama (Machakos) over allegations of hate speech.

The MP’s are yet to answer charges on hate speech.
