The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has promised to conduct free and fair repeat elections for the Presidency.
The new polls are scheduled for October 17 despite the infighting within the commission.

In a statement sent to newsrooms, IEBC Chairman, Wafula Chebukati, said that the commission has the capacity to conduct credible Presidential polls following the Supreme Court ruling that overturned President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.
Chebukati noted that the commission has already made big milestones leading to the election and that no elections will be rigged this time round.
In other news, Political analyst Prof Mutahi Ngunyi has revealed why politicians are ditching Opposition Leader Raila Odinga for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In his weekly show, the Fifth Estate, Prof Ngunyi and his Fort Hall School of Government team explained that politicians are not bought but rented and since Mr Odinga was broke the rented politicians were moving to search for greener pastures
