Male MP Aspirant Arraigned In Court Over Rape Case


Maragua parliamentary Aspirant , Sam Wairimu, has been arraigned in court today after he was apprehended last night.

The man in question was arrested after a complaint was filed against him by a suspect, who had been arrested earlier for allegedly assaulting him


Kandara police boss Gregory Mutiso, says it all started last week when the aspirant  was rescued by police officers at 5.30am at a lodging in Kenol town after he made a distress call.

Mr. Mutiso added Wairimu was reportedly bleeding profusely when the police arrived and broke into the room

The police boss added that the parliamentary aspirant was rushed to a hospital in Kenol for treatment while the suspected culprit was taken to Kabati Police Station.

“At the police station the suspect narrated why he was fighting the candidate,” Mutiso said adding that he accused Wairimu of trying to sodomise him.

Aspirant Wairimu  is vying on an independent ticket.
