Slain businessman late Jacob Juma was murdered in a cold blood few months ago by unknown people in Nairobi, Kenya.
Police may have found a gun that was used to kill the controversial businessman Jacob Juma.
Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet said two spent cartridges were recovered from the crime scene
“Ballistic examination of two empty cartridges recovered from the scene show that they were from an AK-47 rifle recovered during recent encounters,” Boinnet said.
A rifle, a pistol and 31 bullets were recovered after thugs were shot dead near Nyayo stadium in Nairobi.
One of those gunned down during the incident was a former police officer based at Wilson Airport police station.
The man, whose real names the police declined to reveal, was known on Facebook as ‘Birarutosha
Nairobi CID boss Ireri Kamwende said the four men were part of a criminal group that carjacks people in the city and then demands ransom from their families.
Juma was shot by gunmen as he drove to his Karen home on May 6. They did not steal anything from him.
This is the first AK47 recovered in the hands of criminals since the businessman was murdered.
