Coalition for Reforms and Democracy leader Raila Odinga has hosted Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and seven other lawmakers who had been detained on allegation of hate speech for lunch at a Nairobi joint located along Kimanthi street.
Raila Odinga did that to fulfil a promise he made last week when the eight were locked up at Pangani and muthaiga Police station.
CORD co-principals including Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and his Siaya colleague James Orengo joined the party.
The legislators said that they had decided to have fish, ugali and his favourite vegetables, Osuga.
Kuria indicated that he had made peace with the opposition lawmakers and would embark on preaching peace in various parts of the country.
The ‘lunch date’ was seemingly to show that Mr Odinga had ‘unconditionally’ forgiven the Gatundu MP for commenting on the Opposition leader’s assassination.
