This is How Much Uhuru Is Expected to Pay For His Son’s Dowry

Uhuru Kenyatta’s son Jomo married Fiona Achola Ngobi his longtime girlfriend at a traditional Ngurario ceremony held in Karen over the weekend.

Fiona is an accountant in Nairobi with Ugandan, Luo and Kikuyu roots. She holds two Master’s degrees from foreign countries. Fiona also comes from a lineage of politicians from Nyanza and her late father is a Kikuyu from Murang’a.

According to kikuyu customs, 99 goats are required to make a dowry payment complete.

The amount that is to be paid overtime is usually standard and it does not depend on how wealthy the bridegroom’s family is.

Uhuru Kenyatta is therefore not expected to pay more just because he is the president.

Jomo is Uhuru Kenyatta’s first born son. Sources reveal that he is planning to have a white wedding next year before the general elections begin.
