Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King’ang’i morning show dubbed, Maina and King’ang’i morning show that airs between 6 am and 10 am on Classic FM is one of the morning shows with the highest listenership in Kenya.

The show is known to be the most controversial with various interesting topics on love and relationship, that are unfit for children under the age of 18, and with cool classic hits and attract advertisement in the tune of billions annually.

This show may soon be no more and may be the end of Maina Kageni on radio. This comes after The Kenya Films and Classification board wrote to Radio Africa demanding rescheduling of the show to late hours.

The board which is mandated with the responsibility of regulating entertainment content in the Kenya believes that Maina’s show is not fit in the current time and instead, reschede it to 10 pm -12 am.

Citizen TV’s Saturday show featuring Bi Msafwari was also not spared. The show is also very popular and focuses on educating couples on various disciplines in a relationship.
