Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, has responded to rumours in Kenya’s social media that he was beaten badly by his wife, Anne Waceke, over promiscuit
On Friday, social media was awash with news that Wetangula, who is also the Ford Kenya party leader, was beaten by his wife for sleeping with other women.
According to the available information regarding the matter, Anne was said to have reported the matter to police on February 21, 2016 over the alleged assault while the Senator, filed a case against her on a similar charge.
A senior detective privy to the investigations said the matter was filled under Karen police station where the said offence occurred.
The report stated further that detectives in Langata first launched investigations before the case was transferred to Karen police station.
But on Sunday, Wetangula responded on social media saying they were malicious rumours aimed at tarnishing his name and image.
He said these rumours are being spread by his political competitors and said that they will not succeed.
