The Jicho Pevu investigative programme hosted by Mohammed Ali may soon come to an end after Kassim Mohammed, the award winning TV producer behind the popular expose, resigned citing frustrations from his bosses.
Kassim handed over his resignation some months ago, dealing a major blow to KTN since he is one of the best TV producers in the media industry right now.
Kassim was one of the journalists who was hard to compromise and that’s why Jicho Pevu and The Inside Story ran successfully despite receiving bribes from the high and might.
Mr Kassim’s resignation follows that of John Allan Namu, who hosted the Inside Story
Apparently, Kassim’s resignation appears to be the final nail in the coffin for Standard Group’s investigative team.
Most of the members of the investigative team who included Moses Michira, Paul Wafula, Machua Koinange, Julius Maina, Dann Okoth, Kenneth Kwama and Nyambega Gisesa have left the Standard Group.
Only Michira and Wafula, who were transferred to the business desk, are still working at Standard.
Mohammed Ali’s camera-man, Sam Munia, is also planning to resign citing frustrations from the management.
Despite his passion for exposing ills in the society, Moha will also be forced to resign since his team has left and he is the only one left in KTN’s investigation desk.
Sources intimate that he is also planning to resign so that he can venture into politics
