If there is a gospel artiste who is controversial, making Willy Paul and Bahati look like big time jokers then it must be Ringtone Apoko.

The former street kid from Subukia has had his best share of controversy other than any other locally known gospel artist

Remember the case where he allegedly impregnated a lady and asked her to abort? His endless rivalry between himself and MCSK? Beefing with Jaguar??

With the pressure on his end, perhaps even being guilty, Ringtone resolved to retiring from his music career before blowing Kenyans with his best-ever- done collabo featuring songstress Christina Shusho, “Tenda Wema”.

Notably, over the past few months, Ringtone has really laid low but not until yesterday (August 2,2016) when he suddenly appeared below Kibera law courts to withdraw a case against his former contractor who stole assets worth Kshs. 349,000/- from his multimillion home in Karen.

According to Chillax.com,

“Gospel musician Ringtone Tuesday appeared in a Kibera court to withdraw a theft case against his former contractor.

The popular musician told the court that as a Christian, he had resolved to forgive Mr Peter Kalwenye who had denied breaking into his house in Karen, Nairobi on May 16.

“I have come to ask the Court to forgive him, because I have forgiven him,” he said.

According to Ringtone, Christians should forgive each other unconditionally. In the case, Kalwenye had denied stealing a water pump and a Sony TV all valued at Sh349,000.

“I have not been paid even a cent nor have I been coerced to withdraw this case,” said Ringtone. He told court that he had hired Kalwenye to construct a perimeter wall when he and other people broke into his house and stole his property. Magistrate Derrick Kuto allowed him to withdraw the case.”
